Alex and Rachel: Then Comes Marriage

I have one disclaimer to make before I get on with my post: blogger hates me! Well maybe just my pictures, but anyway it has done terrible unlovely things to my photos due to some "compressing" and formatting mumbo jumbo. Anyway just thought I'd get that out in the open now on to the post.

The day was beautiful(and cold). The bride was stunning. The groom was handsome. And now they are wed. Here is just a tiny peek at the wedding day of Alex and Raquel:

there is more irony to this photo than meets the eye...

Alex and Raquel had a "first meet" where the bride and groom see other before the wedding and have a few moments alone. Here Alex is seeing her for the first time:

Raquel's one request was to get a picture in the middle of this road where countless brides have before:

and yes guys, you get your very own foot shot

these two cracked me up with their antics of carrying the dress just right

the bridesmaids' "bouquets"

a couple of snapshots after the ceremony

then on to the reception...

Can I just say I could do a complete post on the reception alone. There was so much detail put into it. Everywhere I looked there was something more cute or clever than the last. But I won't bore you with too many pictures. These are all you get.

they put fake snow on the floor of the reception site

and of course the kids loved playing in it

well some loved...
I love the contrast of the snow in her hair and on her feet while she is sitting in Florida's green grass

I love the flower girl's oh so hopeful face here:

oh and like is said, blogger hates me so that's why this picture is completely and randomly out of order

Thanks again Alex and Raquel for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. It was a great first experience!

Baby in a Carriage: Butcher Family Session

This photo shoot was one of the last Christmas sessions to be done. It involved one adorable little boy and his fun-loving parents. We went out one Saturday morning in spite of the threatning rain clouds and shot a few family portraits until the rain forced us to stop.

Love their squishy faces:
Dear Timmy, you are sooo cute. I don't know how your parents tell you no. I wouldn't even want to try!
Thanks again Butcher Fam!

Beth and Brian

This was a photo shoot that was a long time in coming. We had talked about doing during the summer of O9 but it didn't end up happening until December. Just as a disclaimer although this couple is NOW engaged( congrats all round and raucus applaus), they were not at the time of this photo session so these are NOT enagagment pictures. That being said this photo shoot was alot of fun anyhow in spite of a creepy shed owner and the impending rain. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

This photo was taken at probably one of Brian's favorite places: the football field.

I have so many shots like this of Beth laughing at Brian, it was hard to choose. I think it's so cute that he makes her laugh so much.

who says the rain has to ruin a photo shoot?

This is just one example of why he makes Beth laugh so much. I told them not to look at the camera but rather to look of into the distance. Brian, in a moment of epicness(probably not a word), came up with this pose. Couldn't have been any more perfect even if they were standing on the helm of the Titanic.

Thanks again Brian and Beth and congrats congrats congrats on your recent engagement!!
