joyce+matt|wedded bliss

It was hot. Probably the hottest day in Alabama since 1986(<---totally made up statistic). But heat couldn't put a damper on the excitement in the air as the bride and groom and company bustled around the church to prepare for a wedding. 

Matt and Joyce pledged their love to each other in a beautiful brick church, surrounded by family and friends. Their ceremony, as well as the day itself, was filled with laughter and love and all that juicy stuff wedding days are made of. Matt and Joyce: all your hard work paid off. You and your day were beautiful!

Joyce's laughter is contagious

so, I went a little ballistic posting bridals, but seriously Joyce is just straight up stunning

and Matt? well he didn't look too shabby himself...not too shabby at all

these bridesmaids were so much fun!

funny story about this next one. I told the girls to gaze into the distance as if the hottest man they'd ever seen was trotting by. Well right then a man did go trotting by....but he kinda left a lot to be desired in the looks and physique department. we got a kick out of the irony of all.

things were going quite nicely at the reception when suddenly the bride was swooped up and "stolen" by some nefarious groomsmen.

matt had to beg, borrow, or steal enough cash to win back his true love....very fairy tale-esque =D

the money was raised and the groomsmen released the bride and the festivities resumed

after the reception we ran out to capture a few bride and groomie pics before the sun disappeared completely

the bridal party had a heyday decorating Matt's truck

they were such sports about their vandalized getaway ride....i think it was because they had dabbled in a little vehicle "decorating" a time or two themselves...

hey kids, 

it's been awhile, huh? These past few weeks have been toughies. At the risk of sounding like an excuse-making whiny baby I'll give you a brief low-down. Since May I have: moved; started a new job; suffered the results of a month with a computer due to being broken; welcomed a new little nephew into the world; been to Ohio 3 times, Alabama once and Washington state once; spent 18 hrs stuck in an airport alone; and dealt with other stressors both minor and major. So to say the very least, I'm quite behind, oh so very behind. And now I am desperately playing catch-up. So bear with me, kiddos. An overload of blogposts will be coming your way, quite soon.

a few family sessions(some a bit older that never got blogged, and a few newer bits as well)

and this lovely 2011 senior who is probably knee-deep in planning for college by now(hey better late than never right....right?)

So I've poured out all that from my little heart to say thank you. Thank you for being so incredibly patient and forgiving, some of you especially so(you know who you are). I felt like I've never apologized and said thank you so much in my life as I have these past few weeks. But you've been understanding and gracious. So again I say thank YOU!

Praying for Jack

This is Jack. 

A little over a week ago, this dear little boy was involved in a serious accident. Little Jack(4) was severely injured when a very heavy piece of furniture fell on him causing head injuries. At serious risk of dying, he was airlifted to a children's hospital.

After just a few days and not a few prayers, Jack started to show miraculous recovery, doing so much as talking and walking. Doctors even remarked how "lucky" he was and how they had never seen a child with that severe of an injury survive.

 But just yesterday Jack started coding and had to undergo emergency brain surgery due to bleeding in his brain! They found a blood the size of three fists! Jack's surgeon says the only thing to do now is pray.

So I'm writing this blogpost in hopes that you readers and visitors will do just that: pray. Pray for healing, pray for strength, but most of all please pray that God's will will be done.
