My first assignment of the day was to capture the menfolk(groom and groomsmen) getting ready and such. I think the groom individually can often be over-looked on the wedding day, so I was excited to capture this part .Loved how Joel's older brother helped him get ready.
I loved how easy going Joel was. Made my job so much easier.
Quite dapper, I must say!
....meanwhile Courtney was capturing the bride. I missed out on the getting ready process but was still able to get a few shots of the lovely Mandy.
Why, hello there, pretty girl!!
Mandy made such a beautiful bride!
Mandy's shoes were gorgeous. This shot reminded me of a Cinderella moment:
Joel and Mandy opted for a "first look" where they saw each other before the wedding. Such a great decision! It allowed for plenty of picture time and lots less stress later after the ceremony.
They were so happy to see each other! Such a sweet "first look" moment.
Mandy said to me. "Don't make us do any serious faces right now. We're too happy not to smile!"
The day before the wedding, Courtney and I went location scouting for a place to take bridal party photos. We stumbled upon this gorgeous field next in between two abandoned houses. We instantly knew it was the place we wanted to use.
Let me be the first to say: "I love this!" I think the look on her face says it all.
So by now you know me and my foot shot love....
Sometimes I upload my pictures and find surprises. Like this photo. I love how you can see their silhouettes in the window pane.
Hello Joel+ groomsmen, my, aren't you handsome!?
Like I mentioned earlier, it was my job to capture the guys. They probably wondered who this yappy little girl ordering them was, but they complied anyway.
Love the shoes and the shine!
Remember how I said Courtney and I found a field in between two ABANDONED houses? Yeah well, I happened to be the to have to take the guys there first. At first glance, the place seemed rather...er...ramshackled. As we pulled up, Joel questioned "THIS is it??"
"This is it", I replied.
I was able to grab a few shots of the lovely bridesmaids as well
Kisses for the new Mrs.
Love the way their dresses just pop against the yellow color of the field!
Great looking bunch aren't they?
This picture perfectly illustrates something I love: "the moment just before". There's a perfect candidness about these moments that I love.
Details from the beautiful ceremony
Just before her dad walked her down the aisle, he stole a quick kiss
the beautiful ceremony was followed by an equally beautiful reception at an outdoor park
Candy table, which I loved! Duh, it's sugar!
the product of the tried and true tradition of tinkling the glasses
Finally...a the wonderful combination of gorgeous sky and sweet newlyweds:
Want to see more from this day? Check out Courtney's captures over on her blog.
Thanks again Joel and Mandy for letting me be a part of your special day. Thanks also Courtney for making that happen. Can't wait till next time!
Thanks again
