James + Krista= Kindle

This session was so much fun( for me at least). James and Krista will be married three years next month, so they wanted some pictures taken to commemorate the milestone as well as take advantage of the Kindle offer. When Krista asked me what I thought about taking a a vintagey approach I said "yippee yesiree!" And we headed off into the late afternoon to make it happen. Here are some of my favorites:
I don't normally do edits like this but some of these pictures just begged for it:
Are you kidding me with those eyes, Krista? Beautiful!
Notice her gloves: her mother has a beautiful assortment of these classic beautiful gloves.
while super fun, the hat did NOT want to stay in place!
what I call "the Titanic" pose
ummm swooon...
I found out later that she was not laughing at my "hilarious" jokes
Once again Krista: "are you kidding me?"

The next two were Krista's only requests-one of her fun fishnets:
and one where she was grabbing his lapels:
Thanks again Krista and James. You guys are timeless! :D

Elena: Bridal Session

To my faithful blog followers: remember waaaay back here when I said that this bridal shoot was coming soon? Yes well, in my world "soon" is an awfully relative term...Moving along. My sister wanted some bridal portraits taken before the wedding day because (a) she knew I would force her to anyway and (b) she wanted to cut down on some of the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. So happy to appease as I am, bridal shoot we did.
Here are some of my favorites:
oh and be prepared for lots of biased comments.
Fave #1..need I say why?
Oh man, her eyes are beautiful! Fave #2
Ok this one is a bit bright, but I loved the way the light was hitting her..

I know I showed this one before but I love it. It reminds me of a princess. Fave #3
I think it's become quite apparent that I love reflection shots( like in this post oh and this one)
She looks like epic bride. I love it! Fave #4
Workin' the 'tude. This is the face that made boys cringe in high school for even talking to her. Ha!
This place reminds me of an English garden. Please sa' may I have some mo'?
Yep, she looks beautiful, even upside down. Oh and by the way, the watch she is wearing in these photos was given to her by her fiance-now-husband.
Her shoes which she bedazzled into spelling "I DO"
Thanks again Elena for letting me force you into doing this. You're gorgeous ok?
Oh and for the curious: some of the official wedding photos can be seen here. Taken by the talented Churchill's Photography.
