The Thompson|Family

It's family season. Or at least that's what I call this time of year. It's the time of year when families begin to think about the holidays and getting family pictures done for their annual Christmas cards or yearly newsletters. The Thompson family happened to be my first family shoot of the season. And what a great family they are. Coming from a family of mostly girls, I was able to reminisce about my own childhood while shooting this lively little family. Go ahead and have yourself a look-see:

These girls were so full of personality, each unique from the next

I know my sisters and I used to have this much fun together when we were little. I wish I had pictures like this to document it

Longtime blog followers know I love me some foot shots. how cute are these litttle dangling toes??!
ok, Katie, so seriously, you're a beauty...I hope your daddy is already sharpening his machete...
Janessa, oh beautiful one, about those eyes?? yeah they're quite lovely!
Samie: Miss Personality, you're the cutest...and that smile?? it is money!
Miss Annie is channeling a little Shirley Temple here, what with those curls and all.

I don't know why but I love this picture. it's something about the baby blues and the curls and the dramatic tilt of her lil head...it's all just workin' for her =)

I'm pretty tempted to make some cheesy pun about the circle of life and families and such...but I'll refrain...

A little mom and dad time. Being quite the shorty myself, I love how small she is next to him:
Dear Thompson Family: you're the cutest! Thanks again for letting me shoot you( with my camera of course).

jonathan+jennifer|engaged

Jonathan and Jennifer's love story is a unique one that dates all the way back to grade school(for Jennifer) when they first met. Their engagement story is an equally unique one filled with mystery and intrigue(read it here). Being good friends of mine, I was thrilled when I heard they were engaged AND that they wanted me to do engagement pictures for them. Jennifer came ready with a bunch of creative ideas and we got to work to document their love.
With a nod to the classic photo booth here they are:

"Life gave me lemonade and I can't imagine why..."

Jennifer wanted her engagement pictures to tell a story the reflected her and Jonathan. These fun colored balloons are so fun and so them.

Florida this time of year is known for it's random rain showers. Instead of calling it quits we worked with it. They say rain IS romantic afterall....=)

A slight nod to "Catch Me if You Can":

 a little tête-à-tête

In the words of my homie Juliet "parting is such sweet sorrow"....

And to end this blogpost "a kiss to build a dream on":
Thanks again Jonathan and Jennifer. You guys are straight up awesome! You've got the ericaJ stamp of approval(that'll get ya places, let me tell ya)!
