jennifer+jonathan|Wedded Bliss

Maybe it was because she'd known him for awhile, or maybe it was because of the age gap between them, whatever the case, when Jonathan turned his attentions on Jennifer, she was surprised. Delightfully surprised. They're chats quickly became longer AND friendlier. A few weeks of this routine was suddenly met with change: an entire summer apart. She went home to Washington State, while he remained in Florida. After surviving the summer with daily phone calls, the two decided to make things official. Three years later, the pair made things even more "official" in a beautiful Seattle wedding, surrounded by loved ones.
Jennifer's "Grandma Jo" passed away not too long ago, but little elements of her were seen throughout the wedding day include this necklace Jennifer wore.

each of the bridesmaids were given one of Grandma Jo's beautiful antique handkerchiefs
future brides: make an effort to get ready in a place with lot's of natural light flowing. you'll thank yourself later! I love this photo of Jennifer and her mom and best friend.

all of Jennifer's bridesmaids gathered around to help her get ready. I love this photo of them fluffing her many layers

Jennifer's flowers  by Kim Young were absolutely lovely. I loved the pop of color they gave

this moment of her was completely candid, and here's a truth: she is quite lovely in that moment

limo time!

Jennifer and Jonathan opted for a first look which allowed plenty of time to cavort around Seattle taking pictures

if you're a fan of the city, you'll love Seattle. check out that 'scape!

Jennifer and her brother Christopher are the only kids and therefore super close. this moment they shared was super sweet

this bridal party was super fun and energetic ALL day long!

this reminds me this photo. i love how little elements like great socks can add such character to the wedding day

their first look was held at Gas Works Park, an old coal plant that has been turned into a recreation park

our next stop was Kerry Park, a great view spot with a steel sculpture

and THEN we stumbled upon this little alcove with amazing light and a gorgeous staircase

Jennifer's one request was to have a picture where "he kisses my neck", I happily obliged

Finally to top everything off, we rode down to the Pike's Place public market

we ran through the market and back out onto the street all the while people exclaiming about her white dress staying clean in such a non-white dress friendly place

i'm in love with this photo. looking at it, you half expect their model T to come rumbling down the street

before the ceremony, we were able to get some down time a hotel. the light was super great so I snapped up some groomals(groom portraits).

Jennifer and Jonathan's ceremony was held aboard the Virginia V steamship on Lake Union

so can we have a brief discussion about how stunning Jennifer looked?
 total vintagey gorgy-ness
reception time! i kinda love this photo alot

the first dance. one of my favorite wedding day elements

 umm,....you kids are kinda perfection!

toast time. I am loving their chosen reactions to those stories that only tend to come out at weddings

i loved how there was special prayer time for the new Mr.&Mrs. so special!

so, at the risk of sounding like a fat kid. I must once again talk about the cake. this cake was be-yond amazing. the layers included banana cream, salted caramel and chocolate and  a filling raspberry. kinda puts vanilla to shame...

that flag? Jennifer made it herself and it hung from the mast of the ship during the entire celebration

a fabulous jazz band serenaded the guests and drew  them to the dance floor. Jennifer's Uncle is notorious for his spin savvy swing dancing

Jennifer...Jonathan, you kids were sorta, really, definitely, actually meant to be. Thanks for letting me join in on the celebration of your love!
