Poling Family| Portraits

Meet the Poling Family:

I love photographing this family because they are such laid back "go ahead use your imagination" types. So though it was, what felt like, the hottest afternoon of the summer we headed out for our shoot.

I went to all new locations on this photo shoot and I we were lucky enough to discover this yellow door....and we all know yellow is my favorite!

We also found this open field, which aren't that common in this part of Florida. Nevertheless I love me a good field, don't you?

Miss Seattle is growing up into such an adorable little lady. You may remember her from here oh and here also...well technically.

Miss Seattle is also going to be a big sister soon. We took this opportunity to grab some maternity shots of mom.

Made in the USA...get it?...I don't mean to insult your intelligence but I didn't get it at first...

Seattle is Miss Independent these days...

all she wanted to do was play in the dirt

you know me and my shoe/foot shots....
funny story about this picture: two seconds before she landed on her dads shoulders she was crying...the minute she got up there she burst out laughing! she loved it up there!
Thanks again Poling fam for braving the heat and letting snap you up. You guys are awesome!

Alexa| Child Photography

Meet Miss Alexa:

When Alexa and I first met she was very shy, and quiet, and didn't want to smile...a photo shoots worst enemies =)

She just looked at me with her big brown eyes and listened as I talked about everything silly under the sun in my attempts to male her laugh or even just smile
Finally she got used to me and started to smile...

This is when the real smiles broke out: Alexa LOVES to climb trees.

The bigger the tree, the better.

I brought this little rocking chair along as an after thought. I'm so glad I did because Alexa also LOVES rocking chairs. It came in handy later as bribe...er...incentive to smile.

You know me and my shoe shots. So cute...and I probably could find a pair in my size! =)

Playing peek-a-boo with me

Finally the Little Miss Personality showed up

Her big brown eyes are so expressive

How do you say no to a face like that?
Mischievous Alexa trying to sneak up on a lizard to catch him

I knew it was time to stop when the cute lil smiles she had been giving me turned to this:
Alexa: you're adorable. Thanks for letting me take pictures of you!

Jennifer| 2011 Senior

Contrary to what you may believe, I have not abandoned my blog. But wow, it's been two months since my last update. So here are my lame excuses for my lack of blogging:
1. Things have slowed down, but also sped up...if that makes sense. Photography has slowed down, but I've filled my free time with other things.
2. Absence makes the heart grow fonder...right?....right?
3. I'm lazy...plain and simple.
Ok so now that you pulled that brutal confession out of me here's Jennifer:
Jennifer is my first 2011 senior. And can I just SMART GIRL!! I had so many seniors coming to me last minute wanting pictures which really was just a stress party waiting to happen. Do yourself(and me) a favor and get them done EARLY!!!*steps off soapbox*
Back to Jennifer....we stopped at the beach first of all:

ummm can we just talk about how jealous I am of Jennifer's hair?? Who doesn't love red hair??

way to represent brown-eyed girls around the world Jennifer!
all that mulch made me think of beautiful fall leaves...ah, fall I can't wait for thee to arrive!
We hit that time of day when the light is absolutely wonderful....I could have gone on forever...but Jennifer was so over her ericaJ experience...really who can blame the girl?
Dear Jennifer: thanks again for workin' it out for my camera. I hope you have a smashing senior year!
